These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Vera’s website and platform (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

2. The Services

Vera provides tools to aggregate, organize, and visualize your financial information and to deliver personalized insights. Features are offered on an “as available” basis and may change from time to time at our discretion.

3. Not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice

Vera is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, or tax advisor. The Services, including any insights, projections, or illustrative charts, are for informational and organizational purposes only and do not constitute investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional.

4. Third-party connections

The Services may let you connect third-party financial accounts through aggregation partners. Your use of those third parties is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their data, availability, or actions.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services.
Do not use the Services for unlawful purposes or in violation of others’ rights.
Do not upload malicious code or attempt to interfere with other users.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, including all software, design, and content (excluding your data), are owned by Vera and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services in accordance with these Terms.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us. You may stop using the Services at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for disputes will be the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
